On Friday, my sweet little hubby surprised me with a day trip to Seattle to celebrate my birthday. He conspired with his Aunt Cary to book us a murder mystery dinner aboard an Argosy cruise. I have always wanted to witness a murder mystery theater production, but never wanted to actually participate in it. Apparently, Cage attempted to add my name as a suspect so that during dinner my name would be randomly called and I would have to make up stories in front of a room full of strangers. I hate speaking in front of a group, especially being on the spot and remember, I cannot drink any alcohol so I would be without any liquid courage. Luckily, he missed the deadline to get my information in and I was safe. Unfortunately for Cage, his Aunt was all over it and signed him up instead! {By the way Cary if you're reading this, that was so awesome that you did that!} You can imagine my delight and Cage's anxiety when his name is called from out of the blue! Luckily, Cage is quick thinking and did an excellent job of playing along with the story. He did so well in fact, he ended up being one of the murderers in the end. We had an excellent dinner of salmon and steak and amazing desserts as well. It was a very entertaining evening and it was fun to get out of town and do something different.
A big THANK YOU to Cary Clark for providing us with a special evening!
Here's Cage speaking to the "detective" and having to think of some creative answers on the fly
