Whatta Man

I am one of the few very lucky women that has a husband that is willing to help out as much as he can with the new baby. He has been off of work for the last month due to recovering from knee surgery. I honestly don't know if I would have survived having a newborn without him being here with me every step of the way! Little Cage usually demands to be changed or fed every 1 to 2 hours- day and night. Since I am currently nursing, it has fallen on me to take care of the feeding times. However, even though Cage could stay in bed warm and asleep, he usually voluntarily joins me in the nursery to see if I need anything or to just keep me company. And he has even on occasion, given me foot rubs without me even asking!

There have been times when I have been so exhausted at night that I don't even notice when my husband gets out of bed to tend to little Cage. He even takes it upon himself to go to the nursery and rock the baby for hours just so I can get a little shut eye. It has been wonderful to have a partner to share everything with- the good and the bad. So thank you to my wonderful husband- I do not take you for granted and I appreciate everything you have done for myself and little Cage!

  2. That was really sweet...reminds me of what I said about you two at your wedding (when I was begged to read my poem about you...well, that's the way I'M going to remember it).
I said that BOTH of you thought that you were the one to get the best end of the deal when you married. That's what made you such a great team, and it still does!
